Stanley Market Hong Kong

Speaking of Stanley Market Hong Kong

1 min read

Today, Yin and I took a bus to Stanley ━ a town located on a Hong Kong Island peninsula. We spent the day chilling by the beach. We couldn’t swim as it was too cold and windy, but we did some good-old people watching. After soaking up the sun and getting a slight tan by late afternoon, we took the same bus to Stanley Market.

Among the many markets in Hong Kong, Stanley Market is my favourite. There were handmade pieces of jewellery, cheap jades, Tin Tin knick-knacks, paintings and whatnot.

After walking up and down the shopping lanes a few times, we headed down to the pier for some gorgeous sunset-watching while sipping a cold beer. We considered having dinner at the famous 160-year-old restored three-storey colonial building with a restaurant on the first floor, with fantastic sea views.

But in the end, we decided to go back to the city to have yum-cha dinner instead.
