Dinner – Indonesian Fried Rice with Omelette, Fried Chicken and Chicken Sambal
The original recipe for dinner was grilled Chicken cajun mashed potato, sautee baby vegetable, chilli sauce fried dumpling, soft roll, and aqua, but I requested fried rice instead.
It’s weird how things trigger memories. I watched Adam Liaw’s Destination Flavour Japan, which was filmed at Lake Akan, and he talked about Ainu Cuisine. I’ve eaten Ainu food when we were in Lake Akan. And I learned about the Ainu people long ago in school. If there’s one thing I love and miss from school, it’s the anthropology, history, and geography class. It opened a whole world for me, and I have my teachers, Pak Paulus and Pak Anthony, to thank for igniting my love for people, places, traditions, and culture.
