As a September baby, I can confirm: Virgos don’t do spontaneous, and if you want to travel like a Virgo, you start planning the trip the moment you book it (or before). We do prepare. And here’s the thing: prepared travel is calmer, cheaper and a lot more fun.
How to Travel Like a Virgo
1. Book early
Flights, hotels, restaurants, trains. Virgos book the moment the dates are locked in. Better prices, better seats, and no 11 pm panic scrolling for the last room in town.
2. Plan everything
Every day has a loose shape: where we’re going, what we’re eating, how we’re getting there. Not because we’re rigid, but because a plan lets us relax once we land.
3. Plan better (not just more)
The upgrade on planning everything. Group sights by neighbourhood, check opening days (museums love closing on Mondays), and leave buffer time for jet lag and wandering. A good plan has built-in breathing room.
4. Make many lists
Packing list, food list, shopping list, things to do if it rains list. A Virgo’s notes app is a work of art. Lists mean nothing gets forgotten, and ticking things off is half the joy.
5. Pick the right travel mate
The most important decision of the whole trip. Find someone whose pace, budget and food priorities match yours (or who’s happy to let you hold the itinerary). The wrong travel mate can ruin the best destination.
6. Pack early
Not the night before. Days before. Start a pile, edit it, then edit it again. Packing early means you’ll remember the charger, the adaptor and the medicine you always forget.
7. Packing cubes
The Virgo’s best friend. One cube for tops, one for bottoms, one for undies, one for the dirty laundry. Your suitcase stays organised for the entire trip, and unpacking takes two minutes.
8. A travel pillow
Small comfort, big difference. A good neck pillow on a long-haul flight means you land as a functioning human. Your future self, stepping off the plane, will thank you.
