This afternoon, we saw Izzie, the crocodile, in the middle of the Daintree Rainforest. This evening, I had a plate of salt-and-pepper crocodile at Ochre, a modern Australian restaurant by the marina. Eating crocodile meat has been my yearly goal since moving to Melbourne. I was so thrilled to finally tick it off my list. Unfortunately, the meat itself wasn’t so good. It tasted like white fish but had the texture of chicken meat. So it won’t be a repeat order for me.
