The title should be Adios Singapore Hotel since I am leaving Singapore in a few hours. My luggage is packed, and I am ready to go home – and by home, I mean my parents’ home in Jakarta.
I spent the last 24 hours or so saying goodbye to Jik and hanging out with my Vi, Yin and Fia at Fia’s. I also strolled around Orchard Road (for old times’ sake), went to Ying Thai restaurant near Raffles Hotel at a weird hour, and finished a whole fish by myself (also for old times’ sake, I guess).
I had plans for the evening but felt mentally and physically depleted, so I went back to my hotel room in Bugis to enjoy some me-time/night in with a long shower, TV on, and CLEO magazine. The magazine had been a constant companion for years during my life here in Singapore. I love the colours, the smell and the glossy covers. Frugal happiness.
Time to wrap up. I might write to you from the airport if I finish the magazine.
