Staycation Culture in Singapore

1 min read

Staycation Culture is big in Singapore, which makes sense, especially with the density of living complex (namely HDB). Also, the Asian culture of living with parents and only moving out once married means a lack of privacy. The (short-term) solution is a staycation, especially if the bank balance and/or leave balance aren’t allowed otherwise.

I finally had a taste of it, celebrating Valentine’s in a colourful room in a boutique hotel, Hotel Re!, in Outram, Singapore, Purple Line.

As someone who rents a room in an HDB, I can attest that staycation culture is here to stay.
