Shanghai Morning

I reached shanghai at 10.30 PM yesterday. It’s my first day in Shanghai and China. I will be here until February 3rd.

By the time I reached the Airbnb, it was already past midnight. I was expecting a different host. Instead, my host greeted me with an American accent, an American boyfriend, and an American roommate.

I can’t say the whole experience was pleasant, but maybe we were sleepy and a bit grumpy.

I changed and got ready for bed quietly. I returned to the bedroom straight after that, even though they were still hanging out in the living room. Right before I slept, I wondered whether Airbnb was a bad idea.

It’s the following day now. The room looks much better, and I feel a little lighter.
