This month I…

Had my beloved Toffeenut Latte… Hosted Jik, who came for a visit/Diwali/Birthday celebration – it was the first Diwali in our home… Visited Fitzroy Market, Footscray Market and the pop-up Christmas market at the Migrant Coffee …Went to Murugan temple, followed by a bad Indian dinner at The Daughter In Law for Diwali… Celebrated Jik’s birthday with vegan cake and non-vegan pizza at Harley & Rose… Netflix-ed The Rain Coat Killer and (hated) Annaatthe… Celebrated Friendsgiving with Liz over dinner at David’s hotpot and eight different cocktails at 1806… Cooked Raasam for the first time, guided by Amma over the phone… Bought two more house plants… I went to yoga class with Jik in Barkley Village… Got some film camera rolls developed… I ate onigiri at 276 Victoria St… I went to Bunnings for the first time… Am currently reading In The Kitchen, a paperback I got from the Paperback bookstore… I got my nails done ━ cerulean blue this time… Had breakfast at Rudimentary and drinks in Zymurgy… Tried new-to-me Vietnamese dessert and Filipino snacks… Went to our neighbour’s house for lunch and Shoba’s for Diwali over the Diwali weekend… Had visitors to our home: James, Jacqui, Tim and Glen… Semi-abandoned writing and blogging BUT fixed the newsletter part, so now you can join in to get monthly blog posts delivered to your mailbox… Ran 13.3km to Mel Robins High Five Habits and have been High Fiving myself in the mirror every day since… Had the most immersing experience with Van Gogh’s paintings… Tried and semi-failed to cook chicken Chettinad biryani; also tried and failed to cook Kerala potato fry, but at least I semi-successfully made mushroom kurma for Jik… Completed the Mt Fuji trial run… Had the best cheese grazing at Appretivo, followed by Japanese Yakiniku at Shinbashi in Carlton… Had a South Yarra Girls Day with Jik where we shopped (Love Tree and Connection), Ate (Thai at Chapel) and drank (Naught Nancy) at our usual places… Scored vintage teacups and saucers at Lost and Found… Went to Black Cat Gallery… Ate a bag of bacon and had sticky Himalayan chai … Got myself Koala pants, Mornington Peninsula fine wine and Greentea umeshu… Got and wore matching PJs with Jik…

As you can see, November has been both a busy and blessings-filled month hence the lack of blog updates. Next month, I will try to squeeze in more writing and blog posts between returning to the office (UGH!), being social and having Christmas break.
