Invisible in Mustafa Centre in Little India Singapore

1 min read

I don’t think anyone would agree if I called the Mustafa Centre in Little India, Singapore, a sanctuary. But it’s for me. Whenever I need some serenity or a change of space to think, especially at odd hours, Mustafa Centre has been my go-to place. Like today – I was there at 3 AM, strangely finding calm among the hum of people who were shopping, unforgiving fluorescent lights and multiple invisible machines. Being and becoming invisible myself – even though there were plenty of cameras capturing me in my unbrushed hair and jeans shorts, browsing Tamil 90s DVDs.
