Recent learning: Singaporeans are obsessed with Indonesian Kue Lapis Legit, translated in English as Layer Cake. Every time I go to Batam, this is the one thing my flatmate asks for. At least I only need to buy one box. Meanwhile, my manager usually carries at least three boxes to be shared with her family and friends.
