Hello from Ginza Starbucks Reserve.
It is day three of 2026, and my days are filled with adventures and constant thoughts—yet at the same time, I feel mentally still. Jik once told me that when she allows herself spare time to truly rest, the voice in her head returns.
My inner voice is not loud or overwhelming; it is curious, observant, and full of ideas. Even the simple winter cinnamon latte at this Ginza Starbucks Reserve is enough to spark reflection.
We are back in Tokyo, beginning again in this city that somehow feels both familiar and endlessly new.
I have loved every single day of this Japan trip, yet I am undeniably tired of living out of a suitcase. It makes me pause and wonder, half joking, half serious—am I getting old?
Earlier today, I spent far too much time in Loft, only to leave with a payment slip. I will have to return tomorrow to settle it and collect my items if I want to claim the tax refund.

Not everything has been perfect. Today, we also had disappointing Chinese food. That too, in a highly rated Chinese restaurant, with an order of trusty (banana) Gyoza.
I have noticed that Japan, despite its extraordinary culinary precision, does not always interpret other Asian cuisines in a satisfying way. Something essential is missing.
I remember struggling to finish Indian food and feeling similarly underwhelmed with the Indonesian food. It creates a quiet sense of reluctance before meals that should otherwise bring comfort.
Aside from that, I am slowly returning to a work mindset, mentally preparing for structure after weeks of travelling.
Starbucks here feels different. The locals are lively, expressive, stylish, and at ease. There is a unique crowd energy—effortless and warm. Alas, it is time to say goodbye to the Ginza Starbucks Reserve now.
