Not a Newsletter: Sep16 Edition

I’m writing this from a gazebo located in Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria. I decided to take a short stroll after work—given the weather, it was probably a dumb decision, hence drafting this as a distraction.

🎂 ━ We went to Nobu at The Crown along South Gate for an early birthday lunch celebration.

🎂 ━ I was greeted by pink and purple balloons coming out from the shower after a long day at work. Soon after the clock turned 00.00, I got cupcakes, cards and many pictures. This was the second time I celebrated my birthday with short hair. I stayed up a little longer and downloaded new Pottermore e-books – my birthday gift for myself. At work, my manager treated me to breakfast at the restaurant near the river. The age question came up. Not how old, but “How do you feel being one year older?” I was reminded of the same topic I discussed with the girls over lunch at the Botanical Garden. I told them the same thing I told the girls. I know that society dictates that I should feel bad/worried/anxious about being older, but I am not. Age really is just a number for me.

🥮 ━ Was hoping we would have some mooncake tasting in the office today (as we did in Singapore every year. No such thing! I ought to find or maybe start the Mid-Autumn festival tradition down under.
