Yesterday, we made our way from Queenstown to Lake Tekapo. We drove past Arrowtown, Wanaka, and Omarama and reached Lake Pukaki. OMG! Never seen a lake more beautiful! It was breathtakingly gorgeous!
I would want to camp there one day! Speaking of one day, I need to update my blog bucket list.

We finally reached Lake Tekapo in the afternoon. Another gorgeous sight! It was peaceful here. So peaceful. Even on a hot day like yesterday.
We had the best food I have eaten in the South Island of New Zealand so far. It was spicy Korean pork and rice from a random Asian restaurant near Lake Tekapo. It was well seasoned – perfectly combined with ice-cold cider.
I thought the view of Lake Pukaki and Lake Tekapo yesterday was the favourite part of my trip, after Milford was a bit of a letdown on a gloomy day. But no! it was topped by the starry night at the Tekapo inn. Oh my god!
The best thing about yesterday was the stargazing from our little Airbnb in Lake Tekapo. I have never seen so many stars. It was so magical. I immediately asked Fafa to get me a telescope for my birthday.
Regrettably, we couldn’t go on tour because it’s fully booked 🙁 Oh well, let this be an excuse to come again another time and stay in Lake Tekapo for some stargazing and hot springs!
But today, the beautiful sight was challenged by Mount Cook Observatory (a bucket-list item).
We went there for breakfast at Astro Cafe. It’s located at the top of the hill. I cried, a little overwhelmed by all the gorgeousness I was fully enjoying at the cafe. We lingered there and took lots of pictures.
