Not a Newsletter: Oct20 Edition

The highlight of the month is celebrating the second wedding anniversary with Fafa with a picnic (making it two picnics in the same month) at the nearby park. The graze box from L&P was delicious, and the sun was glorious.

I also sat for the exam (result out in December โ€“ what an anti-climax) and fell sick twice due to work stress. One would think WFH would be more chill, but not for me. Thankfully, the work direction is changing from next month onward. I am hoping that with it, I will be able to manage the workload and settle into my groove.

Meanwhile, Google Photos reminded me that last October, I was in Europe at the beginning of October and Jakarta at the tail end of the month. It was also the last time I went back home.

The full moon in Aries, the one that I woke up to merely minutes ago, is nudging me to write on a new blog. The thing is, I already have a blog. I have a blog, a grimoire, three journals, two diaries and four Instagram accounts. I donโ€™t need another blog.

But the nudge is strong.

๐Ÿฅฎ โ” Ordered socially distanced mooncakes to eat alone at home (Fafa doesnโ€™t like them). I miss Mid-Autumn festival-ing in Singapore!!!

Love and Found

๐Ÿ“š โ” According to Goodreads, I managed to read seven books this October, but still three books are behind schedule if I want to achieve my reading goal for the year. I read and reviewed The Perfect World of Miwako Sumida, People from My Neighbourhood, and Kind of Hindu here. I also want to start rereading some books on my bookshelf that I either half-read or forgot that I had read before. Next monthโ€™s pick is Tokyo Totem. Itโ€™s a book about the city written from different perspectives.

๐Ÿ“บ โ” I highly recommend a Covid anthology Tamil movie called Putham Puthu Kadhal. I also enjoyed To The Lake (which is very on-trend with whatโ€™s happening in the world), The Alienist, and Truth Be Told.

๐Ÿ“น โ” Found Flixโ€™s Paranormal Activity 1-6 review was so good I watched it thrice. Also, the sometimes-cringy theNewBee.
