Not a Newsletter: Dec10 Edition

Something I did this year that I want to carry into next year?

The good problems I created for myself.

The many goals, milestones, pressures, stretch goals, bucket lists (including the silly ones), Singapore bucket list, food adventures, adventures in general, credit card debt, red-eye flights, and early morning errands.

The many “yeah, I’ll give it a try” moments — even the ones I had to bail out of at the last minute. The countless crying sessions of “why the f did I do this to myself?” So many nights ending in complete exhaustion, knowing there was still a platter to prepare.

The half-surviving garden and the completely dead plant. The chilli. The chicken rice attempt.

A year of monthly plans — ask me what I’m doing on the same day next year, and I’ll need to check my calendar. Bookings, blurred pics, unpaid leave, double bookings, and an 18,908-item to-do list, mostly self-inflicted.

The challenges that came with crying in the office toilet. Pressure. Self-inflicted pressure. All born out of curiosity.

“Why do you do this to yourself?” from Fafa. “Don’t tire yourself out,” from my parents.

All in the name of curiosity — or memories — because rest is for the wicked.
