Tioman

Fish Necklace from Tioman Island

1 min read

We are on Tioman, a lesser-known island in Malaysia. We flew from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. From there, we took another flight, a very small flight, to Tioman Island.

We have been here for a couple of days now.

The weather has not been great, with lots of rain and endless gloominess. It’s bumming me out. But we tried to have fun otherwise. We spent our time talking to each other, reading and taking pictures.

I also got some time to write and send postcards to my friends. I like this postcard-writing tradition. I will continue doing it in all the new places I go to, hopefully, a lot more new places.

I also got a happiness token, given randomly by Fafa during our holiday here. A fish necklace made out of wood. It wasn’t that special at first, except for the part where he gave it to me randomly, and I love random gifts.

But later, when I cried out of frustration about the holiday not being as fun as I expected it to be, he reminded me I shouldn’t be sad because I was wearing my happiness necklace. I love how he makes me feel special.

Tomorrow we are going out on an excursion. There will be waterfalls and rivers. Things are finally picking up on this tiny Tioman island.
