Little Things That Make Me Happy

Little Things

In the beginning of our relationship, I remember telling Fafa that little things matter a lot to me. And to my eternal gratitude, he has never forgotten it. Until today, I still come home to a vase filled with fresh flowers, random love notes, a clean house and a box of vanilla cupcake every now and then. And I still receive his act of kindness here and there, every day.

On my work desk I kept A Year of Tiny Pleasures Page-A-Day calendar. Each morning I flip the sheet and start a small discussion with my teammates of the day’s tiny pleasure. Most of the time me and my colleagues are in agreement about those little things pleasure; other times we don’t. There was a day declaring that the tea bag tag is a tiny pleasure, we disagreed in unison.

Fafa’s daily kindness and the calendar inspired me to create my own list of happy little things, in the effort to cultivate extra self love. Check it out and do leave a comment if you share any of this happiness inducing little things.
