25 Cultural Things To Do in Little India Singapore

3 mins read

Little India is the one place that I wouldn’t miss going to every time I visit Singapore. There are too many things to do, discover, and feast on in this Indian culture enriched suburb of Singapore. Also, while still living in Singapore, I have lived in Little India for a while before moving due to an easier commute to the new job.

As an Indian who has never been to India, Little India is my India. It’s a part of my culture, and I was introduced to many types of Indian food for the first time. It’s a place you can get good sarees.

Unlike many who prefer to stay away from it, including some of my friends and taxi drivers, I love staying near the neighbourhood (I used to live 10mins walking distance from Little India). Also, with Mustafa around the corner, you can get almost anything here, 24 hours, 7 days a week.

I have roamed around the neighbourhood at odd hours, just because I was bored or homesick. Not that my home has a masala smell. Hmm, I don’t mind having masala dosa now!

To think of it, Little India might be my favourite place in Singapore. On my recent visit to Singapore, I spent most of my time there, and in between munching vandals and drinking tea, I came up with reasons why everyone needs to visit Little India Singapore.
